So, nobody's going to have a problem with me playing around with this for fun, 4 years after the fact?

Hey, That's pretty handy. I'll let you know when I upload something with your stuff! Thanks for putting this out!

Fubaka responds:

Yes, please let me know! I'd love to see anything that incorporates my music in some fashion.

out satanding!

I'm sorry, but this isn't going to be the most useful review;
Wow! that's really nice! I can't really think of anything lacking here (possibly a lead line, but I want to play that in my self, anyway)

Really, really, nice work!

better than meh.

really enjoyable beat.. ripe for lyrics or a solo.

good start.

You've got something going here.
It wants some general love on the mix and levels, but even raw as it is, it has a nice vibe (pardon the pun).

xXBullxDozerXx responds:

This one reminds me of good times.. it always makes me smile. I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Zero?! wow, harsh room!

I enjoyed this. inspite of the timing issues with the drums. The sound is really nice. Even the synth parts you say you made a hash of.

getting hit by haters sucks, so don't believe a bit of it. This ain't bad!
The bass is especially sweet!

BurntIceProductions responds:

Thanks! Haha. I know there's a lot of critics in music field. I embrace it though. Doesn't bother me a bit haha,

friendlyest ghost I know

This is a pleasure to listen to!
I wasn't getting "spooky" from hearing this, though. parts of it sound a little like Stewart Copland (that's a good thing) to me.

One small thing, though- The snare starting at 1:35 seemed a little loud.

nice happy tune!

What kind of low-life scum would down-rate a mother's day song?

Probabbly the best M-day song I've ever heard, Then again It may be the only one I've ever heard ;P

Theme aside, I like it. the melody is nice and the whole thing works. I'd have given it a "10", but I'm a stingy bastard.

great sound

It sounds great all ther way through.

As has been pointed out, it's 24 seconds long, but that doesn't need to be a bad thing. it can work well as a transition theme, or a loop, but either way it needs some adjustments.

Loop- the end needs to fit the begining. as it is, there's a jolt when it loops.

Transition theme- It needs a proper ending, even if it's just letting it reverb. don't just have it cut-off.

allways check your tracks.

your High hat track at 00:01:40 is way off. if you meant it to fall on 3, then it's way too loud Throws off the groove, and sounds annoying.

Also along with what cypher said about dynamics; use volume throughout your groove. As it is- your instruments are either playing, or they arn't. you should decide on a "flow" (where you want more, and where you want less) for the whole peice.

changing keys-- @ 00:01:50 through 00:02:10 you have a bassline fading in, but it's not working because the two keys don't have that note in common. If you are commited to having that bass atart early, then I'd match it to the current key, then take an extra bar to resolve it into the new key.

All that aside, it's a nice sounding track.

marrikie responds:

thanks ive been trying to figure out how to do the volume thing

I've been really heavy into 70's funk lately. prolly because I've been working on a funk based game. Wait, no. I've been working on a funk based game, because I'm really into funk.
